About the Role
The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for leading the technical development, documentation, and coordination of complex architectural projects from design through construction. Working closely with Principals, project managers, consultants, and clients, this role ensures that design intent is translated into accurate, high-quality documentation and BIM models while maintaining compliance with codes, standards, and project goals.
This position requires a proactive technical leader and problem-solver who can guide multidisciplinary teams, support client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s technical excellence and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design Documentation & Coordination
Lead the preparation of architectural construction documents and advanced BIM models that uphold design intent and technical accuracy
Coordinate internal teams and external consultants throughout all project phases to ensure cohesive and timely delivery
Develop and maintain technical documentation including field reports, code analyses, specifications, and meeting records
Conduct site visits and field verification independently, translating findings into design updates and documentation
Produce visual materials and renderings to support client presentations and design communication
Provide design and technical solutions informed by strong architectural and construction knowledge
2. BIM Leadership & Technical Execution
Direct BIM model coordination and maintain project-specific modeling standards
Contribute to the development and improvement of firm BIM workflows, templates, and quality standards
Manage RFIs, submittals, code reviews, and responses to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
Identify and resolve modeling or technical issues while implementing long-term process improvements
3. Project Support & Team Collaboration
Lead QA/QC reviews to ensure documentation quality and regulatory compliance
Perform and oversee site measurements and documentation tasks
Represent the firm in client and consultant meetings, providing technical insight and design support
Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative, knowledge-sharing studio environment
Take ownership of complex coordination challenges and high-impact technical assignments
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution preferred
6–8 years of professional architectural experience
Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination workflows
Strong knowledge of building systems, construction documentation, and code compliance (IBC, ADA, FGI, etc.)
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and consultants
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality drawings, renderings, and technical documentation
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Actively pursuing architectural licensure strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license may be required depending on project locations
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Revit, BIM tools, and model coordination platforms
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Enscape, and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and visualization tools preferred
Strong drafting, rendering, and technical illustration capabilities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is primarily performed in an office environment with periodic travel to project sites and client meetings.
Typical requirements include:
Prolonged sitting and computer use
Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, or site navigation
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform field work in active construction environments
Visual ability to review drawings, models, and documentation
Manual dexterity for computer and drafting tool operation
